Collaborator role
Magdalene Silberberger’s multidisciplinary expertise makes her a key contributor to the consortium’s work on using environmental law to protect the environment. With a Ph.D. in international economics and a focus on the quantitative analysis of trade, regulation, and sustainable development, she brings invaluable insights into how environmental regulations can influence trade and development, particularly in low-income countries. Her expertise in measuring and comparing regulations and policies in an international context is highly relevant to the project, especially in examining the effects of environmental regulation on trade. Dr. Silberberger’s strong background in quantitative empirical work and computer science, including her recent research on generating quantitative data from political speeches and development plans, allows her to bridge the gap between legal, economic, and data-driven approaches. Her leadership in research institutes further strengthens her ability to guide interdisciplinary research and ensures that she can effectively contribute to the consortium.
