Presentation

The rising demand for natural ingredients in cosmetics introduces new challenges in characterizing complex natural extracts. This conference will explore sustainable methods for sourcing ingredients and the latest innovations in extraction, analysis, activity evaluation, and formulation techniques. Modern approaches to formulation now include advanced encapsulation technologies and delivery systems, which enhance the stability and efficacy of active ingredients. A focus will be on metabolomics, covering essential steps from sample extraction and metabolite identification to data mining and statistical analysis. Additionally, the workshop will highlight the evaluation of cosmeceutical activities, such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, rejuvenating, UV-protective, and brightening effects, emphasizing systematic approaches that connect analytical techniques with biological assays. These strategies pave the way for discovering new active principles from natural products.

This international conference is organised in the framework of the COSMETOSCIENCES ARD CVL Programme.
